Twittering @ Your Library

I was invited to lead a workshop on Twitter this afternoon at the Metropolitan Library System headquarters in Burr Ridge, IL. With a lively group ranging across all levels of Twitter use, we we able to cover many of the highlights regarding what leads to a successful Twitter presence.  Many thanks to everyone who braved the snow, and I hope I didn’t overwhelm you with all the ways you can use Twitter to its fullest.

Here are the slides, if you’re into that sort of thing:

Was there a handout, you say? Was there. (PDF) I’ve also made a list of all the relevant links on my Delicious page.

Thanks, Jeff and Andy. Glad to hear the slides proved useful for you. This talk has evolved in a number of ways since the first time I gave it in March. I've shared a number of the slides with my coworker Richard Kong, and in borrowing material from one another we've made the end result has become much stronger.
  • I really enjoyed this slideshow. The information was very clearly presented and you do an excellent job at the beginning explaining what Twitter is.
  • Great presentation and great examples. This is definitely something I can use and I like that you have thorough communication examples.
